Spectacular late 19th century French Empire style handcrafted three piece gilt bronze salon suite. One upholstered sofa & one pair of armchairs. The armchairs are set on four straight mahogany legs, the front two of which are set on gilt bronze paw feet. Gilt bronze sphinxes serve as arm rests, supporting the padded arms on their outstretched wings. Each piece is in great antique condition with appropriate wear consistent with age / use. The sofa is about 63 inches long x 24 inches wide x 41 inches high x 16 inches seat high. Each armchair 25 inches wide x 22 inches deep x 39 inches high x 17 inches seat high.
